For the purpose of proper control and administration, the State of Goa has been divided into Eight ward offices, namely, Panaji, Mapusa, Bicholim, Ponda, Pernem, Margao, Vasco and Curchorem. The overall tax administration is controlled and monitored by its Headquarters at Panaji.
Department of State Tax Goa (Goods and Services Tax) belongs to the Ministry of Finance, Government of India and
has been authorised with the responsibility of formulating and implementing regulations regarding levying,
deciding that rate for different categories of goods and services, timelines for payments, return filing and collection of
State taxes in the state of Goa.
The overall tax administration of the state is controlled and monitored by its Headquarters in Panaji and headed by the Commissioner of State Taxes, Goa.
